| Hi everyone, this is the thread to discuss the 'Once Upon A Time' reading challenge for 2026. The scope of the challenge is Science Fiction, Horror and Fantasy influenced by fairytales, folklore and mythology. How the scope is interpreted is up to each participant from retellings of classic fairytales to the motifs and themes of folklore and mythology.
I'm starting with 'Little, Big' by John Crowley which won, or was nominated for a bunch of awards in the early 80s and certainly.seems to capture that sense of wonder and mystery of places not being what they seem. | |
