The Memory Garden: A witch story that is really a moving human story. This review refers to the audio edition. At various points, I found my interest waxing and waning with the various plot developments, but as the novel draws to a close the more moving and provocative elements come forward and resonate. The story could well serve a reading club as topics such as guilt, shame, honesty, love, friendship, magic, and aging are all engaged in various ways. On the whole, the novel is a moving tribute to life and a deserving winner of the Locus FN Award.
