I almost set this one aside! Though I hadn't seen it listed anywhere as part of a series, the first several chapters were full of very confusing references to backstory. (Which I would have read the hell out of!) But after a while the story smoothed itself out. This was LOADS of fun, almost-steampunkish but not quite. The requisite teen trio was engaging, and the secondary characters were just super. The ending was brilliant!
