Tomoe Gozen

In this alternate Japan/Naipon, where myths are real, Tomoe overcomes great challenges brought on by a Shogun vs Mikado conflict. The best aspect of this book is the (far too rare) Asian setting immersed in a Shinto and Buddhist pantheon. Excellent start to this trilogy that stars a brave and honorable samurai heroine.
