Nice novella. Alec Nevala-Lee confronts several contemporary issues in a compact story. Bulding a eco-friendly colony subsidized by government. All consequences not accounted for, of course things go wrong. What's the impact on the colony and the individuals. Important questions get asked for the reader to contemplate. Glad I went to the trouble obtaining a copy of Analog to get this story.
AN-L best known in SF circles for his non-fiction work on Astounding in the John Cambell era has much to contibute to the genre as a writer. It is my hope, someday we get some SF novels or series from him.
