Strange book. Strange imagery. Interesting concepts to think about. The typical "military f***s everything up" mentality is there, but thankfully that is not only what the tale is about. It feels like the book was written during a fuel or economic crisis, as it is heavily negative on what is happening on Earth. There is narrative shift multiple times in the book between characters--and even species. It can be a little confusing when it happens, but it's not distracting and does add context. When the climax hits, and the book quickly finishes over a single short chapter you're hit with a total wtf moment. I actually had to read the chapter over as it's not entirely clear if it is even from the perspective of a human, or if humans even exist anymore.
