Glinda of Oz

I loved this series as a little girl, reading the 6 books we did own, over and over and over. I found several of the other 14 that Baum wrote in a used book store a few years ago and have been meaning to dig into them for some time to see how they hold up. The style of writing is a bit dated and the characters are far too perfect and far too wonderful to each other, but it still managed to bring that sense of wonder and whismy that made me a fan of the fantasy genre. It made me happy to revisit Oz' s heroes again, in a place where good always conquers evil. Best of all, I was able to remember just how much joy I did have reading about Dorothy's adventures in Oz.
