The Broken Blades trilogy by Mai Corland
Frequent readers of fantasy will definitely recognize the plot trope - merry band of misfits go on a quest for mysterious sacred objects. It's a classic trope for a reason, though (imo). Plus the characters are interesting and the world building is intriguing. And it's just good storytelling.
The third book is very much politics and war, which I find boring, so it was my least favorite of the trilogy. I gave 4 Stars to all three books, though.
