I somehow missed this one while I’m trying to read through Discworld in chronological order, so I looped back to it, and I enjoyed it. It feels a lot more like the very early Discworld books, a loving parody of a specific kind of fantasy story, with a good Pratchett twist of course. It has Death, which is always wonderful, and there’s many other characters who shine here. Not the best Discworld book but, like all of them, I’d call it an easy five stars.
