If you're looking for a fun, fast-paced urban fantasy, this is a great book to pick up. It would be a great vacation or summer-read book.

Pros: I really liked the characters. I thought they were fun, and still had depth to them. I particularly liked Trent, and I think my desire to keep going in the series would be to learn more about him. I thought the world was interesting, and think there are a lot of possibilities to delve into in further books.

Cons: So much exposition. The beginning of almost every chapter for the first half of the book was a couple pages of exposition about something, and I wish that had been better integrated into the story. I thought the conflict between Rachel and Ivy was a little drawn out and could have been tighter. Also, at several moments throughout the book, there would be jarring points such as "I know I should find out what Nick's deal is, but I'm just not ready to find out so I'm not going to ask." Which, keeping material for later books, fine, but specifically drawing attention to it just rubbed me the wrong way.
