I chanced upon Justina Robson's "Silver Screen" in my local bookshop recently, and was impressed enough that I have been looking out for her offerings ever since.
This did not disappoint: an intriguingly complicaed backstory involving a "Quantum Bomb", and opening up of access to other worlds...which look disturbingly like those from fairy tales, but have rock musicians??
What's not to like? Throw in cyborgs (the heroine), motorbikes, smart and sassy dialogue - and you have a winner.
A pity the followups didn't meet the same standard...I bought them anyway; STILL worth a read!
