Disappointing follow-up to Feed

Sean Mason likely would have killed himself after George's death, if he were still sane. As it is he spends his time talking to hid dead sister and hitting things. When a lead on the CDC conspiracy behind George's infection knocks on his door, he puts all his resources behind hunting down the truth.

While Sean, as well as many of the background characters from Feed who have now inherited top billing, have grown significantly since Feed, there is little character growth to notice within this novel. The plotting is terrible. In fact the story holds no water at all once everything is revealed. Antagonists were a weakness in Feed, but here they are lacking entirely. There is so much movement with so little sense made of the events that I closed the book wondering what compelling reason the author had to fill up such a number of pages whithout any real narrative.
