This is beautiful! It's a magical combination of the absolutely mundane life of a sixth-grader, with all its pains and joys, and the creeping horror of a spreading apocalypse. The earth's gloom and the middle-school doom interweave brilliantly and poetically. Sometimes whether or not you get invited to the party is more important, and sometimes it's not. Magical!
