The Three-Body Problem

This book left me with very mixed feelings.

The best way to describe it would be... alien. Which is probably just what the author intended. Maybe it's harder for a Western reader who has just a tenuous idea on Chinese 20th century history, maybe it was the unique perspective on the Trisolarans and their motivation... I don't know.

It was certainly fascinating, and I have already pre-ordered the rest of the series - but not because I loved it. Just want to see how it ends!

Sort of recommended.
