This was unexpectedly beautiful. The prose was so lush and everything was vividly described. Anyone who likes to read will recognise themselves in Jevick, plus enjoy the talking about books in this. I liked the plot, which to me moved fairly quickly (particularly in the middle few parts), but I know lots of reviews claim it was often sidetracked and Samatar would go on tangents. I never mind these distractions, since they're closer to real life. The mix of rich cultures and religions and languages was fabulous too, and everyone told stories to one another. Taur was my favourite story.
