A Wrinkle in Time

Lovely story with some flaws.

I have a hard time evaluating a children's book that I read for the first time as an adult. My reaction might be very different from that of its intended audience.

So take my impression with a grain of salt, please:

Lovely story. Interesting setting, great antagonist (appropriately creepy), nice discussion of equality, alikeness, fitting in. Quirky and funny. Has not aged badly.

Mrs Who's choice of quotations didn't sit well with me. A few too many religious overtones. The ending was very abrupt.

The book well deserves its ranking as a classic, I can still recommend it. However, I will skip the sequels.
