I have attempted to insert a comment in the following two news stories and have received a message saying there is an ajax error inserting comment.

2010 Arthur C. Clarke Award Winner - The City & The City = an ajax error inserting comment

2010 Locus Award Finalists = an ajax error inserting comment

The funny thing is it is not a problem in other stories that do not have something to do with The City & The City, which I want to comment on but I cannot because I keep getting ajaxed. Funny. Anyway.

Hmmmm. I just dropped a test comment for both blog articles and had no problem.

What browser and version are you using? Have you tried with a different browser? This is the first I've heard of a problem posting to the blog. Of course, it could be that nobody complained before.

Yup, I got it too in Firefox. Looking into it.

Hey Wintermute, go ahead and try the comment thing again. The only way I was able to recreate that error was to put an ampersand (&) in the comment - apparently the blogging software wasn't made to handle those. Hopefully what I did will fix the issue you're having as well.

That must be it! The ampersand. It makes sense because The City and The City was the commonality between both posts. And of course I used ampersand instead of and. Nice. Thanks.
