the 2008 shortlist for the Clarke Award has been announced.  we've posted the new books so you can take a look at 'em here: Arthur C. Clarke Award

i've got Black Man on my list already.  it's called Thirteen in the US though.  i guess that's more PC or something...  i expect it will be showing upon some other awards soon as well.

anybody read any of these?

I haven't even heard of any of these. I'll have to take a closer look at some of them.
