Random quote: My pass had disappeared. Not that I believed for a moment that this was an accident; in fact, I had suspected for some time now that the Cosmic Command, obviously no longer able to supervise every assignment on an individual basis when there were literally trillions of matters in its charge, had switched over to a random system. The assumption would be that every document, circulating endlessly from desk to desk, must eventually hit upon the right one. A time-consuming procedure, perhaps, but one that would never fail. The Universe itself operated on the same principle. And for an institution as everlasting as the Universe certainly our Building was such an institution the speed at which these meanderings and perturbations took place was of no consequence. - Stanislaw Lem (Memoirs Found in a Bathtub)

Hey Dave,

I'm reading all the Mythopoeic winners these days and came across "Digger" by Ursula Vernon. Looking at the Mythopoeic Society's page, vols. 1-6, i.e., the whole series won. In the Award page, vol 1 is listed as the winner. Since there's an Omnibus edition containing all six volumes which came out the same year as its award, would it make sense to label the Omnibus as the winner of the award rather than vol. 1?

Thanks!

That is an excellent idea. I didn't know there was an omnibus at that time but that will clean things up nicely. I'm on it. Thanks, great catch!

After looking into it, the omnibus does not seem to be readily available. It's going for over $300 on Amazon for instance. I think I'll leave things as they are.

Yeah, I noticed that. I got it from my library.
