I read this book years ago, back in high school. I had no idea at that time, that this was a thinly veiled protest about the Vietnam War and the alienation they felt upon their return. I just thought is was a Kick-ass sci-fi story.
I am now several (several, several, and several) years older and know all about the highly political nature of the book and I still think it is a kick-ass sci-fi story. Plus planet "Middle Finger" I mean come on, how can you not like it!
Still and always will be a five star book.
