This story relates the attempts of robotics designers to create functional and safe AI behaviors in the latest and greatest models of robots available at the time. The effort is funny and frustrating, and is overlaid with a human romance among the scientists which moves the story to its conclusion.
A pleasant but slightly clichéd story which harks back to the kinds of storytelling more typical of the mid-20th century.
