Time travel stories are inherently confusing, and this one came with a strong plot of postapocalyptical political intrigue. There was a lot to try to untangle, and with a more careful reading I might just be able to, but, as they say, "Too many books, too little time."(I did love the bits about the tourists from the future visiting the 21st century: the fascination with and fear of the food, the technology, the air - they'd been warned about the air - and the actual wild animals. Oooh, a squirrel!)
