This is very much a rehash of When Worlds Collide - which would have been fine if it introduced anything new or took a different angle on it, but sadly it did not. It hasn't even been modernized to reflect current technology; this story could have been written back in 1932 when the original was written.

Apart from that, what struck me was how terribly incompetent the supposedly uber-competent billionaire was at setting up his construction and interview site to prevent problems with the public. But the incompetent setup was required for the plot to take place - and stories where an unlikely setup is required in order to make the plot work are just so very contrived.
