This was surprisingly bad for a Clines book and while it may say it's a Threshold book there are literally no callbacks or any references to tie it to the series at large (no, not even a green cockroach).

On top of that this book has some of the dumbest decision making I've seen in a book in a really long time. Even from the entire premise of burying people on the moon, very little makes sense and not much reasoning is given for it. Simple nonsensical things like we just got attacked by the living dead....well we should wait several hours before we tell anyone anything. It was just bad.

On the good side, when you take out the bad decisions, the action was fun and fast paced. The characters were way less thought out than is Clines fare, but that seemed to be par for the course. Very little was thought out, just ideas of things that would be cool and whatever something quick to get the people from one scene to the other and let's spit this book out now.

Very disappointing if you read 14 or The Fold and are looking for something comparable.
