The Work of Wolves

I think the worldbuilding of a near-future Earth affected by global warming and the enhanced intelligence of the dog are extremely plausible and well-done (the author is a professional dog trainer, which no doubt contributes to the verisimilitude). And the story itself is not only entertaining, but packs a real punch. Highly recommended; this is on my Hugo Novella ballot.
