The good things - the writing style was quite ok, relatively terse and impacting. The plot mostly held its own, the worldbuilding was nice and understandable, the characters are nicely developed.
However, I fundamentally feel like someone dropped the editor's ball on this one - the overall book feels more like a first draft than something publishable. The changing PoV is especially irking and jarring, when it's obviously done just to provide some knowledge to the reader. It could and should have been done way better, as it just distracted from the story.
