Upon a Starlit Tide

I was spellbound. Slammed through this in only a couple of days and spent most of my Sunday afternoon giggling and kicking my feet. Retellings have been a touch overdone in recent years but this was perfect.

Woods weaves Cinderella and The Little Mermaid together seamlessly, and the historical backdrop with pieces of folklore sprinkled throughout made for such an enchanting read. This is exactly what I want and need out of a historical fantasy. I'm a sucker for sea-faring damsels and smuggling adventures, so I'm elated to say that Upon a Starlit Tide delivered.
