It is a fascinating but demanding read. While the intellectual payoff is massive, the first half is notoriously difficult to parse as you learn the jargon and rules of the world. It’s more of a "novel of ideas" than a character-driven story, which can make the emotional stakes feel a bit distant despite the high-stakes political collapse. It is brilliant and cerebral, but definitely requires some mental heavy lifting.
