A Conventional Boy

I read this along with a group working through the entire Laundry Files series. While it was released in 2025, chronologically it fits into the series order in 2013, between The Apocalypse Codex & The Rhesus Chart.

This one is particularly fun, and offers a change of pace from the Bob Howard books. Bob is not present in this one; instead it focuses on Derek Reilly, who was institutionalized by the Laundry for running a Dungeons & Dragons game during the anti-satanic craze of the 1980's. Derek breaks out to go to a gaming convention, where he winds up leading a group through a real-life incursion. Light, humorous fare, recommended.
