This third book in the trilogy of Kushiel's Legacy is, by far, the darkest and most fantastical of the three, and for me that makes it possibly the best of the three.

It's been so long since I last read this one that I'd forgotten much of what happens within these pages, and so rereading it was almost as good as reading it anew, and I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed it.

If you want a romantasy that dares to push the boundaries, this trilogy is it. As for myself, I think it's time I sought out the other two trilogies that followed this one. I suspect I'll enjoy those as well.
