Audiobook narrated by Jennie Sterlin. What a hoot this was! I had no idea. How many other great fantasy classics have I missed out on? I love how plainspoken Sophie was a crone, once she'd gotten past the idea that as the Eldest, in a fairy-tale world, she was doomed to failure. As a crone, she had nothing to lose *grin* I also adored Howl, the ne'er-do-well young wizard – I'd love to know about his transformation from a modern-day Welsh doctoral student to a worlds-treading wizard. Apparently Castles in the Air is a sort-of sequel? That's definitely going on my To-Read list.
