...because this is NOT a good end to the series. Unnecessarily gloomy, again with the unkillable but tragically flawed and noble hero Captain, an impacable baddie that I was almost sympathising with...and unexplained ancient tech and a most unsatisafactory culmination to something that had been building over four books.
NOT in my favouries, then. Like Dune: should have finished at 3!
