I was given this and the other Chaos Walking books as a present. So before this I had not planned to read this. When I discovered it was a young adult novel I did not think I would enjoy it as I naively believed it was a children's novel.
I quickly found out how wrong I was. This is a fast paced story that slowly reveals what has happened. Most of the book is a chase story where the main characters are journeying across the world they live in. I really enjoyed this.
The only downside is some of the spelling which at times is terrible. I realise this is intentional in the book but it will annoy many readers.
