The Hanged Man

I was intrigued by the sound of this one, but a little weary given the fact I never really liked Elrod's Vampire Files books. But they were many years ago, and so I thought I'd chance it. And I'm glad I did.

Alex, a forensic psychic, is called to a house to do a psychic reading of a man believed to have committed suicide. The problems start when Alex realises this was not a suicide, but a murder, and the man is her estranged father.

This book grabbed me from page 1, and didn't ever let me go. So well done, Ms Elrod. I will be back for more of Her Majesty's Psychic Service.
