I probably should have reread The Fifth Season, as it was hard to keep track of characters, for various reasons, but once I got re-oriented it was an enjoyable read. There are a lot of plot elements I either missed in the first book (Who are the Stone Eaters, again) or maybe have been glossed over some to be developed later. I read this in one long lovely Sunday afternoon, and it was an enthralling read
