Oh, wow, THIS is what epic fantasy looks like *sparkly hearts*
I really enjoyed the continued worldbuilding in this (Tree cities! Cities built on the backs of whales!) as well as seeing poor Moon fumble around trying to figure Raksura culture, and his place in it. We've all been in his place (ok, maybe not with the shapeshifting Lizardry) but we've been the newcomer, the outider, not really trusting that we'll ever be truly accepted, and ever suspicious that rejection is just a moment away.
