An enjoyable swords-and-sorcery tale, involving ruling class control and subjugation of the proletariat through magic. It could have stood to have been a bit shorter (there are only so many magically-induced weather events I want to read about) but the world-building was interesting, and the fight-scene writing was top-notch. Short, punchy sentences - I had to sit and gape at some of them for a minute. Wow!
