I think this is one of the rare examples of King's work that does not fit In the genres we cover. |

Location: California | I have a bit of an odd case. Jennifer Pournelle (daughter of Jerry Pournelle) has written a 3rd book for the Moties series. Outies published in 2011. It is listed on Amazon as Book 3 in the series and the description says that it is an authorized sequel. It seems to be the only genre book written by Jennifer Pournelle and I can't find anything on the publisher New Brookland Press. |

Please add The Body by Stephen King
I think this is one of the rare examples of King's work that does not fit In the genres we cover.
The Body seems just as close to the covered genres as Billy Summers which is in the WWE database. Moreso, since a google search for the body +stephen king +genre lists it as Horror fiction, Coming of age story.

Good catch. Something we missed. This illustrates the point that with all the various series that we put in, we need your help to stay on top of all the new books or books we've missed from a particular series. Only with help from all of you can we even hope to do it. |

Location: Belgium | I asked this already, but it might have been overlooked. Could you add László Krasznahorkai's "A Mountain to the North, A Lake to the South, Paths to the West, A River to the East"? The book has clear speculative/fantasy elements, as it is about a prince living outside of space and time, searching for a monastery that's also timeless. First published in Hungarian in 2003, and published in English translation in 2022.

This series is self-published. I know it looks like our prohibition against self-published works has relaxed lately, but those books had award nominations somewhere in the series (if it was a series.). So I think the old rules apply with this series.
>Uranova -- Lenka Elbe
I'd like to put this one in, but I can't find an actual English edition to buy, only samples translated from Czech. Once there is an English edition, or someone points one out, fine. |

First of all, thank you for adding my previous requests.
Could you please also add the following?
- Thousand Autumns: Qian Qiu (Novel) Vol. 1 by Meng Xi Shi
- Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi (Novel) Vol. 4 by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
- Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi (Novel) Vol. 5 by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
- Heaven Official's Blessing, Vol. 5 Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
- Remnants of Filth: Yuwu (Novel) Vol. 1 by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou (it's not immediately obvious from the vol. 1 synopsis, but Remnants of Filth is a cultivation novel, which makes it fantasy)
Thank you!

Location: The Broken Estates of Georgia & Florida | Can you add Man in the Dark by Paul Auster? It is in ISFDB and is an alternate universe kind of book.
Can you also add Complete Stories by Kurt Vonnegut? It might be overlooked because it is 900 pages long and quietly came out in 2017. He is of course major to science fiction. |

Location: The Broken Estates of Georgia & Florida | Can you add these books? I have a list that I have compiled. I tried to make sure that they are mostly in ISFDB.
1. You Bright and Risen Angels by William Vollmann. It is probably the most non-realistic genre writing that he has done. It deals with insects at war in a fabulist way and is influenced by Burroughs and Pynchon.
2.60 Stories by Donald Barthelme. If you have John Barth and Robert Coover in the database, then you should include some books by Barthelme. His fabulism is very similar to those guys. This collection is probably his most essential book.
3. Snow White by Donald Barthelme. Fairytale fantasy.
4. The Breast by Philip Roth. Very Kafkaesque.
5. Our Gang by Philip Roth. An alternate history of the Nixon Administration.
6. Doctor Faustus by Thomas Mann. If you have Marlowe's Doctor Faustus in the database, then you should include this modern rendering of the Faust Legend.
7. Arabian Nights (Penguin Classics) Vols. 1 to 3 by Anonymous. If you have Homer and Virgil in the database, then you should include this original magic realism classic.
8. 2666 by Roberto Bolano. This book is as horrific as Blood Meridian and is probably the essential book for this writer. He is heavily influenced by Philip Dick.
9. Collected Stories Vols. 1 to 3 by Richard Matheson. This is a recent collection of his stories that came out in the 2000s. The one in the database now, I think, is from 1989.

| [Sorry, tried responding to an earlier post] Just a quick note on the first C.L. Moore I flagged earlier (1954 Northwest of Earth), it?s of historical interest as a companion volume to the Shambleau volume (which has an entry) - the 1954 Northwest of Earth volume has the remaining uncollected-at-the- time Northwest Smith and Jirel of Joiry stories. Would be great to have.
Another request: Murray Leinster?s Sidewise in Time, at least the classic 1950 collection and maybe the 2020 volume with different contents.

Location: Dublin, OH | I believe this series by TA Willberg would qualify to be added. It's a mystery series in which the underground detectives use steampunk-ish, magical gadgets to solve mysteries. It definitely has more fantasy elements than the Bryant & May series by Christopher Fowler.
Marion Lane and the Midnight Murder
Marion Lane and the Deadly Rose
Marion Lane and the Raven's Revenge

This looks like literary fiction to me. Cortezar is not in the ISFD. I'm going to skip it but if someone wants to argue for it, now is the time. Answer me this: what genre, that we cover, would it fit in? and why? |

Hi! I asked for this and it's a little bit my fault for going fancy with the spelling of his name - there's an accent mark there that the page couldn't read and so his name went to the list a little wrongly.
Julio Cortazar is very much in the ISFD https://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/ea.cgi?6643 and this story collection is pure magical realism, filled with fantastical creatures and surreal happenings. I hope this is enough |

Thank you for the prompt response. There was a complete mix up with this one and this helped clarify things. Cortazar was already in the database for other works and doing a search for him on our site doesn't seem to work. And when one looks at the synopsis for the book on Amazon, it looks straight up literary fiction.
Bumps in the Road. It's always something. |

I'm glad it worked out now, but it's tricky indeed with these special characters. For example, you can't search for China Mieville either with only his last name because he also has an accent mark there. Maybe it's something the famed third version of the site could address whenever it comes about? |

This book is in the database three times. Twice as two different ace doubles, and then in an omnibus for the John Grimes series.
I think that is more than enough. |
