Apocalyptic/Post Apocalyptic fiction is not really my thing. Normally I run screaming in the other direction when those words are uttered. But this one has good press so I decided to give it a go.

My thoughts: I liked it. Not well enough to change my view on apocalyptic fiction, but it was beautifully written, and I, on the whole, was engrossed in the characters stories. Well, except for somewhere around the middle section where I became bored. But it picked up again.

I liked that it doesn't focus on the event of the pandemic, but on the before and the after, and that it switched between these two frequently. It was easy to follow, but I found myself more interested in the before than the after.
