Favourite book of the series. AMBITIOUS. AND IT FUCKS SO HARD. LIKE, SO HARD. Feels like the entire book happens within the head of one character and I'm all for it. GENIUS WORK. Whatever didactic fuckery Herbert pulled off, whether or not it's reflective of his views, taking into consideration the problematic stuff mentioned here, still trumps every other book and knows them out of the park. It is massive, grandiose, self-referential, self-sustaining, and calamitously deferrent to any standards he set in the prior books and works to break them all, quite literally feeding into the central theme of the book and proving his point.
