On par with God Emperor for me. Odrade. Oh, Odrade. Ended with some inconsistencies which is fine given the scope Herbert was dealing with as a consequence of building on an already rocky terrain of greatness. Odrade's rumblings are an antithesis to that of the Tyrant and all the more poignant and prosperous because of it. Such beautiful writing, man. Chapter 25, at the edge of Eldio, BEAUTIFUL. Clairby, Bellonda, Tamalane, Streggi, Murbella, each character my beloved. Not getting over this for a long time, and a fitting (albeit premature) end to the series.
