Biography
Brittany A. Marasciulo-Rivera, or Brittany Amara, is an author, actress and model. She is a lover of all things science fiction, fantasy, horror and romance, and like a true air sign, struggles to keep to just one of them in her work. When she isn’t writing about curious aliens, morally gray protagonists, rifts in reality and all things playfully wicked... she's searching for photoshoots and film roles that'll make her feel like she's slipped into another universe.
If she's not working on something new, Brittany can be found stargazing, crystal hunting, collecting stuffed animals and baking pumpkin bread. However, she spends most of her time daydreaming and writing those daydreams down.
Brittany holds a Master's Degree in Creative Writing from Queen's University Belfast and a Bachelor's in Digital Media Production & Theatre Arts from the State University of New York at New Paltz. She furthered her education at Kingston University London and the New York Film Academy, and has been trained by The Barrow Group, Stella Adler Studios and The Crescent Arts Centre in Movement, Speech, & Performance.
Brittany's work has been recognized by ScreenCraft, Coverfly's Red List, The New York International Screenplay Awards, The Big Apple Film Festival, Indie Short Fest, The Chicago Script Awards, The Blood Horror Film Festival and The New York Shorts International Film Festival. She's still starstruck about all of this, because her writing journey began on Wattpad, where she somehow amassed over six million reads on her fanfiction.
