Biography
Daniil Kharms was a Russian avant-gardist and absurdist poet, writer and dramatist in the early Soviet era.
During the Siege of Leningrad, Kharms was imprisoned in a psychiatric ward on charges of spreading "libellous, defeatist moods," and ultimately died there of starvation.
