Biography
Jessica Lévai (she/her) has been interested in stories and language her whole life. She studied history (with a double-major in mathematics) at The College of William and Mary and went on to earn her PhD in Egyptology from Brown University. She remembers proudly that one week she passed exams in four kinds of Egyptian, Attic Greek, and German. For eight years as an adjunct professor she taught undergrads about Ancient Egypt, Mythology, and Folklore, even creating a course about the roles of women, both in stories and as storytellers.
Somewhere in all this education she discovered that she loved writing essays for fun almost as much as she loved stories.
In 2016 she devoted herself to writing full-time.
