Random quote: "I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." - Frank Herbert, Bene Gesserit Litany Against Fear, "Dune"

Back again by popular demand ( or maybe not, we only have a third of last years participants). Clear some of those nominee from your shelves now that you've polished off the winners.

6 participants - so far.

Updated for Reading levels. You can rise up the levels from merely Disadvantaged to complete Underdog.

I've joined this challenge too. I'm starting with books I'm already planning on reading this year. Hopefully I'll be able to move closer to Underdog

Forgot to mention, I loved this challenge last year. It was a great challenge finding books that were only nominated. I had (and now for this year, have) a spreadsheet with each award and on the left, a column for winners that I've read or plan on reading, and on the right, a column for the nominees. I had a lot of fun constantly juggling these around as my interest in books waxed and waned through the year, and as I found out if these books were in my local library system or not. In the end, inter-library loans from Seattle, Eugene OR, and Corvalis OR saved the day.

Finished. I really loved the books I read for this challenge, in many cases more than the winners of their respective awards. Thanks for a fun challenge.
