The Book of the New Sun (Vol. 1: Shadow and Claw) and The Book of the New Sun (Vol. 2: Sword and Citadel) by Gene Wolfe are in the database and show under the Fantasy Masterworks list. They are also part of the SF Masterworks. Can they be added to that list as well with the alternate cover?

This has been discussed a couple of times before. There's a reason for it -- database structure limitations don't provide the ability to do this easily.

Gollancz is notoriously uncommunicative about when they actually publish new titles and they have stopped numbering them.  As far as I can tell the Wolfe books appeared in the sf masterworks series in november 2016, which would put it right after China Mountain Zhang and Starship Troopers. Both of those were published in october.

Note that the order we present them in on our list is our best guess.

Gollancz does not publish a list and the books are not numbered, so about the only way to find out about new books issued in the series is Amazon searches, and the only way to tell series order is to look at a book's publication month/year on Amazon UK.

 

Someone seems to be doing a pretty good job of keeping up the Wikipedia entry for SF Masterworks; I recommend using that as your guide.

Best guess is good enough for me! I am just using "publication order" as a guide to make this into an interesting book club experience, and I want to make sure I'm not missing any. Thanks for the help!

Hello! Back to pester you again! In addition to that Deathlands book, could you please add Asimov's Gold: The Final Science Fiction Collection for me? It would be perfect for the Genre Non-Fiction Challenge, since about half of it is stories, and the other half is Asimov's advice on writing science fiction (needless to say, I'm excited about it!) Thank you!
