Random quote: "I think that most of us, anyway, read these stories that we know are not "true" because we're hungry for another kind of truth: the mythic truth about human nature in general, the particular truth about those life-communities that define our own identity, and the most specific truth of all: our own self-story. Fiction, because it is not about someone who lived in the real world, always has the possibility of being about oneself. " - Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game)

I watched it.

It was pretty good.

The music score is astonishingly brilliant, fits well with the dark and dank cinematography, and graphic violence, which depicted the original comics' arbitrary treatment of it very well. Collateral damage, meat for the grinder that is Mega City One. The only thing missing from the soundtrack is Anthrax's "I am the Law."

All in all a very decent effort, despite some obvious plot coincidences. I cannot figure out why crooks insist on shooting judges with the DNA encoded lawgivers. It never ends well for the crook.

Interesting tidbit: the film was shot on location, in my hometown, Cape Town.
