Synopsis

Hugo Award winning and Nebula Award nominated short story. It originally appeared in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, October 1978. The story can be found in the anthologies The 1979 Annual World's Best SF, edited by Donald A. Wollheim and Arthur W.
