Nebula Award nominated novelette. It orginally appeared in Analog Science Fiction -> Science Fact, July 1965. The story can also be found in the anthologies Analog 5 (1967), edited by John W. Campbell and Sherlock Holmes Through Time and Space (1984) edited by Martin H. Greenberg, Charles G. Waugh and Isaac Asimov. It is included in the collection The Best of Mack Reynolds (1976).
