The behind-the-scenes machinations of the Akons have finally spelled the end of a 20,000-year-old stellar empire. Atlan is dethroned. Who were the invaders from the infinite realms of galactic space? Powerful, invisible, and so filled with malice that they attacked all they came in contact with, they seemed to be invincible.
